Marilyn A. Kolar-Sturino, 91, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away on November 20, 2022.
The daughter of Madeline Pettis and George Pettis, Sr., was born September 19, 1931 in Watertown, Wisconsin.
Marilyn married Robert J. Kolar, Sr. in 1948. He was survived by Marilyn and their 3 sons and granddaughter that they raised together, Alan Kolar (Diane), Robert Kolar Jr. (Robin) Daniel Kolar (Diane), and Dawn Malleris (George).
After Robert, Sr.’s passing in 1983, Marilyn remarried in 1986 to John Sturino. They were married for 36 years. They resided in Spring Hill, Florida since 2001. They enjoyed doing life together by singing, dancing, taking small adventures together, and being together every day which brought joy and laughter to her. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family when they would come to visit as well.
Over the years, Marilyn had been an instructor and owned beauty salon. She had also been a reputable realtor for over 20 years in the Lake Villa/Lindenhurst, IL area. For those that knew Marilyn, knew that everyone was a friend. She loved talking with people. She didn’t know a stranger. Marilyn had the ability to light up a room whenever she walked in and she always prided herself on the way she dressed. She was a class act in all ways.
Marilyn is survived by her husband John Sturino, Her 3 sons, 1 daughter, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Bette Garringer, brother George Pettis,Jr., and David Pettis.
