Louis Anthony LoGrasso, lovingly known as “Louie” or “Tony,” passed away on April 27, 2026, at 5:14 p.m. at Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, Florida, following complications from liver cancer and pneumonia. He was 76 years old.
Louis was born on December 31, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York, to Anthony Lograsso and Santina Bertuglia. He was proud of his Italian heritage and carried with him the traditions, values, and spirit of his upbringing throughout his life.
A graduate of high school in Brooklyn, New York, Louis proudly enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam era and completed basic training before receiving an honorable discharge prior to his deployment.
Louis later relocated to Florida in the late 1970s with his parents, settling in Port Richey, FL in Pasco County, where he attended trade school and built a long and respected career in the HVAC industry. For over 25 years, he worked in both commercial and residential heating and air conditioning installation and service. In addition, he spent time as a CDL driver before retiring in 2008.
Louis was a God-fearing man whose greatest joys were found in the simple and meaningful parts of life. He loved boating and fishing, sharing meals filled with traditional Italian food, and spending time with his family and friends. He had a natural ability to make people laugh and brought his own brand of humor and personality into every room he entered.
In his later years, Louis resided with his son Anthony, who served as his dedicated caregiver. In December 2025, due to declining health, he transitioned into professional long-term care, where he remained until his passing.
Louis is survived by his four children: Anthony (37), Michael (39), Christina (36), and Jessica (40). He is also survived by his sisters, Rosalie and Loretta, along with many nieces and nephews, numerous grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Ariya.
He will be remembered for his strong New York accent, a man of strength, tradition, humor, and heart—a father, brother, grandfather, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
