Kenneth C. Lawton, 72, passed away after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones.
After graduating from Hampden Academy, he served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War.
Ken spent a majority of his life in Maine. He was a Master Plumber and Designer at Bath Iron Works for 34 years. During his tenure at Bath Iron Works, he worked on projects in California and Australia.
Ken moved to Hudson Florida after he retired. He began his retirement by renovating his house. He could build or fix anything, had a great sense of humor, loved being on the water and traveling.
He is proceeded by his parents, Leslie and Grace (Peters) Lawton, brothers Phil Mushrow, Paul Mushrow, and Bob Mushrow, sisters Helen Severance, Betty Rackliff, and Jean Spencer.
He is survived by his loving partner Cathy Moreland, children Jill Grace and Brent Lawton, sisters Connie Howes and Gloria Reynolds, brother Gary Mushrow, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held in the Fall at Bushnell National Cemetery.
