Josie was high school valedictorian, went on to college, then to Vietnam during war-time for work. It was in Vietnam where she met her husband Bob, to whom she was married for 48 years till he passed in 2018. After living and traveling abroad, she and Bob settled in Port Richey in 1986 where they lived for 32 years. She moved to be near her daughter in Sarasota in 2020.
