John A. Murphy

March 15, 1934 — July 16, 2025

Spring Hill

John Albert Murphy, 91, of Spring Hill, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025 after a long and full life.

He was born on March 15, 1934 in Livingston, Kentucky and was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He served as a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles) and later as a Radio Operator with the 3rd Battalion 6th Armored Calvary Regiment. He was part of the Post-WW2 occupation in Germany and also served during the Korean War era.

Known for his grit, humor, knowledge, stubbornness, kindness and love of family, John lived life on his terms in his way. Every adventure he endured reflected his adventurous spirit-jumping out of planes, being the fun bus driver, the Master Barber, the Union President of 26M, and Mr Fix it. All of it showed the best of him.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa A Murphy, daughters Kimberly Murphy Good, Kelly Murphy Mannarino, Meagan Murphy Roahrig (Kevin) and grandsons Brandon, Brett, Alex, Brody, Andrew and Declan.

He leaves behind a family who loves him deeply and will carry his stories and memory forward.
