Jim was born in Queens, New York, on February 24, 1954 and grew up on Long Island. After graduating from Ward Melville High School, he proudly served in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he completed EMT training and went on to dedicate 29 years of his life to serving his community as a firefighter.
Jim was a proud member and fellow of the Loyal Order of Moose and an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed being part of these organizations and the friendships and camaraderie that came with them.
A true sports fan, Jim cheered on his favorite teams with passion — Go Yankees and Go Jets! He enjoyed fishing, diving, and golfing, and rarely passed up the opportunity to enjoy a Guinness or two. Above all, Jim loved a good conversation. He could talk about just about anything and never missed an opportunity to share a story, exchange opinions, or simply enjoy the company of others.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his family: wife, Katie; daughters, Julianne and Kelly; his most beloved grandson, Cameron; and stepbrothers, Bruce and Peter, along with all those whose lives he touched throughout the years.
His life was marked by service, friendship, laughter, and a love for the things that brought him joy. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
