Elizabeth McCoy Alfano

Elizabeth “Betty” McCoy Alfano passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, at the age of 88 in Hudson, Florida.

Betty was born into a close-knit family and shared a lifetime of love and laughter with her two devoted husbands, both of whom preceded her in death: George S. Dittman and Guy Alfano. She was a proud mother to Gary S. Dittman and his wife Kari, and a cherished grandmother to Ethan and Noah Dittman, who brought her endless joy. Betty also shared a special bond with her brothers, James McCoy and Thomas McCoy.

She dedicated many years of her career to U.S. Steel (Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad Company), where her hard work and determination left a lasting impression. Outside of work, Betty embraced life with enthusiasm. She loved golf and tennis, and was an avid Bridge player, spending countless hours at the Beacon Woods Community Clubhouse with dear friends.

Betty will be remembered for her warmth, her sharp wit, and her unwavering love for family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her best.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal services will be held.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
