Dorothy was the cherished daughter of Henry Kurz and Ruth Durfee. Growing up in the vibrant city of Chicago, she developed a loving spirit and an unwavering dedication to family that would define her life.
As a devoted homemaker, Dorothy created a nurturing environment for her family. She poured her heart and soul into raising her children, Jeff and Caron, always prioritizing their happiness and well-being. Her home was a sanctuary filled with love and endless support. She was a constant source of encouragement, instilling in her children the values of kindness, hard work, and resilience. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit, and they will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Dorothy's love extended far beyond her immediate family. She had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel special and valued. Whether she was hosting gatherings, sharing stories, or lending a helping hand, Dorothy’s presence brought joy and comfort to all. She had an affinity for gardening, taking care of the birds, and loved animals in general.
Dorothy and Thomas found their way to New Port Richey, Florida, where they embraced the sunshine and continued to create cherished memories together. Dorothy's spirit remained vibrant, and she enjoyed spending her days surrounded by loved ones, sharing her wisdom and making new friends in the community.
She is survived husband Tom, a son Jeff (Barbara), a daughter Caron (Jeff) and 3 grandchildren (Henry, Kim & Emily) and one brother, Dick (Anita).
Her legacy of love and kindness will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched. Dorothy Louise Collier will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she loved.
