The Promise of a Star
We had to say goodbye, for now we’ll be apart
So you gave me this promise, to soothe my broken heart
You’ll find me in the Stars, you said, just look up and there I’ll be
I’ll still love and guide you, you can always count on me
Our love on earth was big and will never go away
These stars have beams of love, I’ll always shine them your way
So walk with me amongst the Stars in the sky
And know that this is not goodbye
My Star will never fade, it will remain forever bright
So look up, my dear, and I promise you’ll see my light
